About Maya Lila

When we are somatically resourced ie. when we have a solid sense of our physical selves, we can feel our emotions without being overwhelmed by them and we can ground our thoughts and beliefs in our interactions in the world.

This programme is an extremely beneficial adjunct to any therapy or body work training. It supports and resources by giving ways of accessing the body's creative process. It provides a safe and nurturing environment to explore new ideas, in a way that respects the interface between personal process, skills and art.

Guest facilitators may be invited in from time to time during the year. For people wishing to take some but not all of the weekends - the first one in September is a basic requirement unless there is previous experience in Authentic Movement.
The weekends can be taken as a whole or as separate days though undoubtedly more benefits are derived from completing the whole programme.

What the training Offers
:: Ongoing refinement of mindfulness skills.
:: Experiential anatomy i.e. Embodiment of our own tissues and cells.
:: Tracking body movements and our responses to them.
:: Restores and nourishes the practitioner.
:: Development of compassionate witnessing.
